Vök Baths
Experience the age-old Icelandic tradition of bathing in a natural geothermal pool. Vök Baths is located on the bank of Urriðavatn lake, only a few minutes from the town of Egilsstaðir.
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool is 25 x 12,5 meters big. There are two hot tubs. There is also a childrens pool and a waterslider. Next to the pool is an area to enjoy the sun.

We offer horseriding, 1-2 hours tours, through Sandfell's forest and nearby. All of the horseriding tours are monitored by a guide. We always try to make sure we find a horse that suits each and every rider well. Before each trip we go over all safety rules and do some practice rounds inside a fence.

Stafdalur - Skiing Area
Stafdalur is by highway no. 93 between Seyðisfjörður and Egilsstaðir. The ski area is in approx. 21 km. distance from Egilsstaðir and 8 km. from the center of Seyðisfjörður. There are three ski lifts in the area and facilities for all kinds of skiers.
Nature
Stuðlagil
Stuðlagil is a unique basalt canyon located in Efri-Jökuldalur in Fljótsdalshérað, which in recent years has established itself as one of the most exciting destinations in East Iceland.
Stórurð
Stórurð boulders is one of Icelands most spectacular sights and has gained more popularity amongst hikers in recent years. The expansive surroundings offer plenty to see and experience; blue-green ponds contrast with flat, vegetated meadows surrounded by sheer-sloped and jagged tuff Dyrfjöll mountain peaks.

Hengifoss Waterfall
Hengifoss is the second-highest waterfall in Iceland and it is particularly picturesque. The layers between numerous Tertiary lava strata yield a reddish color particularly salient in the cliffs around Hengifoss.
Fardagafoss Hiking Trail
Fardagafoss waterfall is close to Egilsstaðir, at the roots of Fjarðarheiði. It is one of three waterfalls in the Miðhúsaá river. The hiking trail starts at a car park by road 93, close to Áningarsteinn rock.
Gufufoss
Gufufoss waterfall is a beautiful waterfall in Seyðisfjörður. The name is due to the steam emitted by the waterfall and envelops it in a certain mystery. The road over Fjarðaheiði lies next to the waterfall, and the access to it is very good.

The East Iceland Heritage Museum
The East Iceland Heritage Museum preserves the history of East Iceland by collecting and preserving things that reflect the society, culture and everyday life of people in the area, from past to present day.
Skriðuklaustur
Skriðuklaustur is a historic site with the ruins of a 16th-century monastery which were revealed by an archaeological excavation between 2002 and 2012. On site is also the mansion of the famous Icelandic writer Gunnar Gunnarsson (1889–1975).
